Japanese Binchotan White Charcoal Powder (although it is black in color) is the charcoal specifically selected to enhance the cleansing properties of this facial cleanser.  It is known to purify and balance the skin and enhance circulation.  Charcoal draws bacteria, dirt, poisons, oils, and other micro-particles to the surface of the skin.  It unclogs pores by adsorbing one thousand times its own mass in harmful substances.
